Building the Beloved Community, one industry at a time.

Our theory of change is rooted in our commitment to dismantle the systems that uphold white supremacy through equitable economic development, policy advocacy and building the capacity of tomorrow’s workforce. Together, these actions can work toward a future where Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s vision of a Beloved Community is our reality.

At Beloved Community, we put our theory of change into action through three central industries:

Equity in Schools

Our vision is for all children to have a safe, happy and inclusive learning environment regardless of their race, culture, language, income or ability. We help schools and districts deepen their diversity, equity and inclusion values by building community-led strategies that strengthen their ties to the diverse communities they serve.

Equity at Work

Creating a caring and inclusive workplace for all staff starts with an organization’s leadership. Today’s next generation of leaders deserve to be a part of equitable workplaces moving towards dismantling systems of oppression and promoting structural equality for all employees. We offer a hands-on system of cohorts intended to help business leaders set and achieve goals that will ultimately make their workplace a more diverse, equitable and inclusive place to be.
